All-New Honda CR-V receives 5-Star ASEAN NCAP Safety Rating

August 18, 2017 – Honda Cars Philippines, Inc. (HCPI), Honda’s automobile business unit in the Philippines, is proud to announce that the recently launched All-New CR-V (August 8, 2017) has been awarded a 5-star safety rating by the ASEAN New Car Assessment Program for Southeast Asia (NCAP). The All-New CR-V is the first model of Honda to be awarded by a 5-star safety rating under the new ASEAN NCAP Assessment 2017-2020 Protocol. The new assessment protocol urges carmakers to give the best safety practices in the region and has been in effect since January 1, 2017. The remarkable results show Honda’s commitment in ensuring safety for everyone sharing the road.

The All-New CR-V achieved 5-star safety rating from an outstanding overall score of 88.8 out of 100. The new ASEAN NCAP Assessment includes a frontal offset impact test, side impact test, and evaluation of safety features such as the Honda SENSING. The All-New CR-V also received impressive scores for Adult Occupant Protection (AOP), Child Occupant Protection (COP) and Safety Assist.

The All-New CR-V SX Diesel 9AT AWD comes with Honda’s advanced driving assist system called Honda SENSING. The advanced technological feature consists of a millimeter-wave radar and monocular camera mounted on the upper, inside part of the windshield which provides greater awareness of driving conditions around the vehicle. It also provides warnings to the driver and supports the driver in avoiding or mitigating the severity of a collision. The SX Diesel 9AT AWD, S Diesel 9AT, and 2.0 S CVT variants are also equipped with Honda LaneWatch, a unique system that displays an additional 80 degree view of the right side of the vehicle from the side mirror view using a camera built into the passenger-side mirror. Both technologies received awards from the “Safety Technology” car maker category at the ASEAN NCAP Grand Prix Awards in 2016 and 2014 respectively.

The All-New CR-V offers a full range of active and passive safety features, along with the standard body structure featuring Advanced Compatibility Engineering (ACE) and G-Force Control (G-CON) technology, Dual SRS Airbags, i-Side Airbags, Side Curtain Airbags, Vehicle Stability Assist (VSA), Hill Start Assist (HSA), Emergency Stop Signal (ESS), and a Multi-angle Rearview Camera. All of these features further ensure the safety of all passengers of the All-New CR-V.

Honda Rolls Out Redesigned Mobilio

July 17, 2017 – Honda Cars Philippines, Inc. (HCPI), Honda’s automobile unit in the Philippines, introduces the highly anticipated refreshed New Mobilio. The 7-seater Multi-purpose Utility Vehicle (MUV) now comes with a bolder and sportier exterior, enhanced interior, and upgraded comfort and safety features that satisfy the Filipino families’ needs and expectations in an all-around vehicle.

The New Mobilio sports a bolder exterior with its redesigned front fascia characterized by a new front grilleand headlights with LED Guide Type Position Lights that truly highlight Honda’s unique identity. The 1.5 V CVT and 1.5 E MT variants boast a new Chrome Front Grille complemented by newly-designed 15-inch Aluminum Alloy Wheels (for the 1.5 V CVT variant) for a tougher and stronger stance. The top-of-the-line New Mobilio 1.5 RS Navi variant is made even sportier with its new RS design Gloss Black Front Grille, and newly-designed 15-inch RS design Aluminum Alloy Wheels.

Inside, customers are welcomed with a new sophisticated dashboard packed with smart and functional controls. A Blue Illuminated Instrument Cluster is now incorporated in the New Mobilio 1.5 V CVT and 1.5 E MT variants. A new 7-inch Touchscreen Audio System with Bluetooth Hands-free Telephone and Audio Streaming, USB Connectivity is also integrated in the 1.5 V CVT variant, together with exclusive black fabric seats and silver trim on its front AC vent panel for a more premium touch.

The New Mobilio is powered by a 1.5-liter i-VTEC 4-cylinder engine that produces 120PS at 6,600rpm and 145Nm of torque at 4,600rpm. The engine is mated to either a 5-speed Manual Transmission (for the E variant) or a Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT) developed under Earth Dreams Technology that delivers a dynamic and fuel efficient driving performance. Also new to the New Mobilio 1.5 RS Navi variant are 
Paddle Shifters that provide an even sportier driving experience.

Along with these advanced and functional upgrades, the New Mobilio is equipped with new safety features to ensure utmost safety of all its seven passengers. Honda Updates the New Odyssey EX CVT for 2017

July 14, 2017 – Honda Cars Philippines, Inc. (HCPI), Honda’s automobile business unit in the Philippines, rolls out the new Honda Odyssey EX now updated with Speed Sensing Auto Door Locks that further enhances the convenience and safety of Honda’s luxury minivan.

The New Odyssey EX retains its well known interior comfort while improving overall practicality. With the integration of its 60:40 split bench seats that can accommodate 3 passengers comfortably on the second row, this new set up now allows the New Odyssey to carry up to8 passengers with its 2+3+3 seating configuration.On the thirdrow, the New Odyssey EX is equipped with Magic Seats that allows the third row seats to bestowed under the floor to provide more cargo room and flexibility. This setup allows the New Odyssey EXto accommodate a sizeable cargo load whenever the third row seats are folded up or down.

The New Odyssey EX also features Dual Sliding Doors with Power Sliding functionality for the Passenger Side which allows easier ingress and egress for the rear passengers.

Honda Debuts Refreshed Honda City

May 22, 2017 – Honda Cars Philippines, Inc. (HCPI), Honda’s automobile unit in the Philippines, unveils the New City at City of Dreams, Paranaque City. Revolving around the grand concept of “Advanced Energetic Smart Star”, the New City exhibits a high-tech and sporty design, class-leading fuel efficiency and comfort, and above class safety that provide customers with the smartest ownership experience.

Outside, the New City gets a refreshed look with its redesigned front fascia that sports a low and wide stance, and stately presence. This seamlessly complements a new front and rear design that gives the New City a sharper and more aggressive look. The New City is also now equipped with LED Daytime Running Lights (DRL), while the top variant VX+ comes with LED headlights and LED fog lights. Adding to the sporty look of the New City is a new intricate-looking front grille, and exquisite diamond cut aluminium alloy wheels (16-inch for the VX and VX+ variants and 15-inch for the E CVT variant). The VX and VX+ variant also get power folding side mirrors for added convenience.

Honda Sports The Civic Type R At The 2017 Manila International Auto Show

(HCPI), Honda’s automobile business unit, exhibits the Civic Type R at the 2017 Manila International Auto Show (MIAS) at the World Trade Center Pasay City. Customers are invited to visit the Honda booth from March 30 to April 2, 2017 to see the Civic Type R in the metal, and to catch HCPI’s exciting surprises.

Conforming to this year’s MIAS theme of “Beyond Performance”, HCPI exhibits a dynamic vehicle display lineup that promotes “Joy in Motion”. After a long wait to return into view at MIAS, HCPI uplifts the Honda brand by displayingan accessorized All-New BR-V,  All-New Civic Modulo concept, new HR-V MUGEN variant, and an exclusive limited edition of the New City. On top of all, the Civic Type R is set to excite the Philippine automotive industry, as it races into scene at the 2017 MIAS event.

One of the display models to look out for at the Honda booth is the All-New BR-V 1.5 V Navi Modulo Complete Accessories. This is the first time for HCPI to showcase the All-New BR-V integrated with a complete set of Modulo accessories. Honda reveals the New CR-Z 1.5 IMA Final Edition

July 12, 2016 – Honda Cars Philippines, Inc. (HCPI), Honda’s automobile business unit in the Philippines, officially announces the countdown to avail of the New CR-Z 1.5 IMA Final Edition. Customers are already encouraged to reserve at their nearest Honda dealership to take ownership on Honda’s sport hybrid coupe.  HCPI will only accept orders for the New CR-Z 1.5 IMA Final Edition until July 31, 2016.

The New CR-Z 1.5 IMA Final Edition features an exclusive sophisticated black leather interior, and exterior embellished with a Final Edition sticker.  

Outside, the CR-Z 1.5 IMA Final Edition still sports a distinct sporty character with its 2-Tone Color complemented with black painted roof, door mirrors, and a tailgate sure to turn heads on the road. Honda Releases The New Odyssey 8-Seater Variant

Honda’s automobile business unit in the Philippines, rolls out the New Odyssey EX Variant with 8-passenger seat capacity. A year since the Japan-made Odyssey entered the Philippine market, the Odyssey line-up was expanded as a response to the evolving needs of the market.

From the outside, the New Odyssey EX variant retains its elegant and sedan-like stance with its “Solid Streamline” exterior design concept. The New Odyssey EX variant gets new front and rear bumper designs, new prominent grille and 16-inch alloy wheels. The New Odyssey EX also features Dual Sliding Doors (Power Sliding for Passenger Side).

Interior-wise, overall passenger comfort was kept in mind, which allows the New Odyssey EX to optimally accommodate both passengers and their cargo. The New Odyssey EX gets a 3-passenger, 60:40 split bench for its second row and Honda retained its 3rd Row Magic seats. It is equipped with a fold flat mechanism, which stores the third row under the floor to provide more cargo room and flexibility. The 3rd row also features three-way split reclining structure, which allows passengers to individually fold or recline their seats in preferred angles for utmost relaxation.

This enables the New Odyssey EX to haul 8 passengers (2+3+3 seat configuration) comfortably with generous head, elbow and leg room. It can also hold a sizeable amount of load even when all seats are in use. Furthermore, the center seats on the second and third rows may also be folded to convert the vehicle to a 6-seater with center storage especially for long items.

Onto the technology department, the New Odyssey EX variant is fitted with Instrument Cluster with Multi-Information Displaythat allows the driver for easy viewing of vehicle-related information. It also consists of a 7-inch Touch Screen Display Audiothat shows trip information, phone connectivity, hands-free telephone (HFT), and audio streaming via Bluetooth connectivity. The audio and Bluetooth HFT functions can be operated on the Steering Wheel Controls for convenience and safety in different driving situations. Right under the display audio unit is a touch screen automatic air-conditioning system. Different ports such as USB and the HDMI port are also available in the New Odyssey EX.

The New Odyssey EX is equipped with the same Earth Dreams Technology 2.4 liter DOHC i-VTEC engine that produces a maximum power output of 175 ps at 6,200 rpm, and a maximum torque of 23.0 kg-m at 4,000 rpm. The engine is paired with anEarth Dreams Technology Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT) and paddle shifters.

Fuel efficiency may be further realized with the New Odyssey EX Variant’s Idle-Stop System, which automatically turns off the engine when the vehicle is on complete stop, and restarts once brake pedal is released. This option may be deactivated manually depending on customer preference. The New Odyssey EX Variant also comes with a cold-storage evaporator, which keeps a comfortable environment for the vehicle during an idle-stop. And to encourage fuel-efficient driving, Honda’s Eco Assist System, which consists of the ECON mode and an eco-coaching ambient light is also available in the New Odyssey EX.

Safety-wise, the New Odyssey EX Variant is equipped with class leading safety features.
